What

Chase had started to show signs he wasn't thriving about a week after he was born.  He was lethargic, not eating well, and seemed to be panting.  His parents took him to the insta-care saturday morning where they were then sent to the hospital.  At the hospital they were told it looked like he may have pneumonia and he was admitted to the NICU.  Torturous hours later it was determined he had a few different congenital heart defects that would require surgery and was life-flighted to a larger hospital in LA.  He has been diagnosed with a narrowed aorta, an interrupted aortic arch as well as a few small holes in his ventricles.  Fortunately, he is stable, maintaining weight and in otherwise perfect health going in to surgery.
